Hey folks 👋 I’ve been digging into ICPs for appointment-setting businesses. I scraped case studies from Belkins (market leader) + Cleverly (email/LinkedIn focused) and enriched the data. Pattern I saw:
<5 years old
7–30 employees
No BDR / sales team
Often VC-backed startup or agency
What surprised me: most didn’t have any sales team at all. 👉 If you’re in this space, what’s your ICP? 👉 And what signal do you watch most closely?
Hey Man! Thanks for sharing this! We are launching our own alternative to cleverly tomorrow:))
Interesting breakdown! 👍 I’ve seen a similar pattern: a lot of our best-fit companies have lean or no sales teams and want to accelerate the pipeline without the overhead of hiring full-time reps. Signals I watch most closely:
Recent funding rounds (Seed/Series A) → usually mean growth pressure
Tech companies expanding into new markets
Job postings for sales/business roles → show they’re starting to think about pipeline building
Industries with high-ticket B2B sales that require multi-touch outreach (SaaS, IT services, digital media)
Curious to hear what other signals folks here are tracking, too.
