The Impact of AI on Sales Development Representative Roles

Honestly, I haven’t seen an AI SDR that’s actually a real threat to the role. With all the AI noise, what people really crave now is a human touch, and real personalization is what drives results today. So I wouldn’t say there’s any serious threat to SDRs right now.

At my company we are only using AI SDRs and we have got very good results. I use a YC company called AI.SDR. and have been really impressed with them. They integrate with both ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, allowing you to build lead lists directly from those databases. The platform researches each prospect and crafts personalized emails for every contact, based on both the research it gathers and any specific context or training you provide for each campaign. We’ve been using it since January, and it’s become our #1 lead source — all from outbound efforts. I don’t believe they are necessarily a threat but are a good tool that allow you to do a better outreach(much more efficient that cold email).

I believe that sdrs / companies + ai for outbound are outperforming ai sdrs alone - there’s data around this that Amos B. may have!
