[HubSpot question] In HubSpot, how can I prevent internal emails (i.e., emails exchanged only between people with the company's internal domain) from being logged in the CRM? Their Never Log "solution" does not seem good enough to me
Why doesn’t it seem good enough?
If you instal the chrome extension, for example, there is a check box for Logged which you can uncheck. I’ve found this works well
At least at first, it doesn't look like it works as the Salesforce (Einstein ?) feature that blocks internal communications from being logged It might be the way our HS is configured but the activities are not in the user level but in a contact created with a HubSpot user email
Where does Salesforce come into play here?
I am more familiar with Salesforce, so I am just comparing one another
Andréa F. yes you can filter out domains in the extension, did you manage to do this ?
Ionut-Cosmin L. I was hoping for a "hardcoded" rule, instead of something that relies on the user's good will But, yes, I tried the extension
I’m not sure why the never log isn’t working if it’s set correctly by the domain(s) you want to exclude. Of course it will log emails between your employees and prospects, but not internal only emails.
Hmm, do the users need to use the HubSpot extension so the Never Log works properly? That is what I am testing now
No since you can never log any domain such as competitors or your accountant
This is also where you'd add any other domains you want to exclude. For example we don't document emails between us and HubSpot.
Let me know how it goes. Like I said happy to help.
