Transitioning from Fractional Sales Reps to Full Commercial Ownership in Cybersecurity Startup Algebrix
Curious how others here have handled this stage: we've got fractional sales reps in motion, GTM motion is building, but there's a gap between fractional coverage and someone who actually owns the commercial function end to end positioning, partnerships, pipeline, closing. For context: Algebrix is security-first: cybersecurity, IAM/identity (we've also got our own identity as a service platform, AlgebrixIdentity, built for startups/SMEs), plus cloud, AI, and digital transformation. Trying to figure out if the right move is to keep stacking fractional reps, or find the person who wants to build and own the commercial engine with real equity upside, not just a bigger OTE. If anyone's navigated this transition (fractional to someone who owns it) or is that person themselves, would genuinely love to hear how you thought about it. Also happy to talk directly if it's relevant to where you are. DMs open.
