Hey guys, can someone point me to good resources regarding:
Is revops a thing only in tech/vc funded saas circles?
Do coaches, consultants or agencies work this way?
Is it a glorified term for CRM work that is unified to give customers a better experience?
What are common tools beyond a CRM here for this work?
is this the same as a GTM manager?
Mahesh K. RevOps isn't inherently a SaaS specific thing but I believe it was first adopted by these circles. The problems that RevOps solves exists in agencies, consultancies, and other service based businesses as well. Albeit, in a less formal manner. Glorified CRM is subjective but its use is heavily involved to determine the workings of everything. RevOps really determines how the system behaves end-to-end, in terms of revenue. There is a bit more to it than CRM alone though. It is not the same as GTM. GTM decides what you do. However, RevOps ensures that what you're already doing has no negative effects on revenue. common tools include Make or Zapier for automation, Apollo for data enrichment, Slack for alerts, and Calendly for scheduling and handoffs.
RevOps is not SaaS specific. I ran RevOps for a beverage alcohol company for instance. RevOps is not the same as CRM Admin. It should be treated as a strategic function of the business. What is the intent of your research?
Hey Mahesh, We cover a lot of ground on B2B GTM strategies, tools and techniques on our YouTube channel. Hope you find it useful!
