Hey everyone! For an early stage startup seeking to use HubSpot for both sales and marketing, what is the best subscription plan? Sales is currently a one person “team”, and in marketing we are two. Features required - CRM, outbound, website forms, email marketing, and some more 😊 Any experience would help making a decision. Thanks!!
If I were starting with a team that size, I'd probably avoid overbuying at the beginning. I'd start with HubSpot Starter (CRM + Marketing + Sales) if it covers your immediate needs, then upgrade only when your sales process or automation genuinely outgrows it. Early on, I've found it's usually better to keep the stack simple and learn which features the team actually uses before committing to the higher-tier plans. Curious to hear what others who've scaled with HubSpot recommend as well.
I'm not sure I would go with HubSpot at all - pricing jumps significantly once you outgrow Starter. Outbound - If you mean cold outreach, you can send 1-on-1 emails but not in bulk via campaigns or automations. For past clients on a budget I've used a combination of Snov.io for prospecting and outreach and Pipedrive if they want a traditional CRM to work with. Or build out a system in Notion. That said, Hubspot, if you can afford it, is a great solution.
Hey Noa S., Is your motion mainly marketing led and want an all in one tool? If yes, then Hubspot makes all the sense. The problem I feel with the Starter plan is they limit you quite a bit and most often than not you will have to move to Professional Marketing Hub(800 dollars/month for 3 users+3000 onboarding) and Sales Hub plan(90 dollars/month/user+ 1500 onboarding). From my experience, people still end up using the best tools for each of the task. Like Instanlly/Smartlead for outbound, Typeform/Jotform for forms, Calendly for scheduling, Clay for enrichment etc. If you are okay with not going the all in one tool way, you may want to check out Attio as I see a lot of people migrating from Hubspot to Attio.
