Adding one more voice to the chorus here, but stressing that I don't think anybody here is against AI SDRs as a concept. We've just yet to hear about it working for anybody besides SaaStr outbounding for conference sales with people that already know their brand, and express Yes/No interest vs a more personalized buyer journey
I truly hope it's a huge win. Just stay on top of it and manage it more than you'd manage a person setting meetings on your team.
Our outbound engine is not generating meetings. which means we are not activating our target accounts, not experimenting with new personas, and not learning fast enough to fix the motion. So the idea is can we automate (or AI) faster research, sequence placement and sequence experimentation.
Always a good idea to try new channels. This is the only positive experience I've heard about with the AI SDR approach, which I stress could work elsewhere. I've just heard more negative than positive. You can automate a ton of outreach and personalize every response when they come in with HeyReach. Instantly, any of those tools for much less if you're gathering feedback on a new approach.
A/B tests, rep coaching, rep roleplay options like Hyperbound could be great too.
