A lot of people have been talking about AI SDRs over the past 1.5-2 yrs. Has anybody seen a sales leader post publicly about substantial success with their AI SDR implementation? If so, could you reply here with a link? (paid posts excluded)
Honestly, the AI SDR hype is everywhere right now, but no one has really cracked the code on fully replacing humans. The best approach I’ve seen is using AI to handle the repetitive tasks like research and outreach, so your team can focus on the conversations that really matter. Another key piece is leveraging buying intent signals to prioritize the right leads - there are some great platforms out there, that help surface those signals and make outreach more effective. It’s all about making your team more productive with the right tools that support them, not replace them. Happy to share a few of these platforms with you via dm if you want
Wow, there's a real theme. Thanks so much for the thought leadership Jared R. Ayse G. Peter S., Guilherme P.
Suchandan Jared R. AI SDRs are just expensive automation with a fancy name. The real unlock isn’t AI replacing sellers - it’s AI amplifying human judgment, creativity, and relationship-building. That’s the vision we’re building toward at getswan.com- proving you can turn sellers into 100x versions of themselves through intelligent collaboration, not replacement!
We adopted an AI SDR solution last year, not a great investment. We decided to cancel.
All, Great question and totally agree with the sentiment here — we’ve been working closely with GTM teams at early- to growth-stage SaaS companies on AI SDR implementation, and the key takeaway is this: there’s no silver bullet. The AI SDR “hype” is real, but success depends on how thoughtfully you build the stack around your ICP, deal size, vertical, and sales cycle complexity. What works for a high-velocity SMB SaaS product might fall flat in an enterprise motion where personalization and context really matter. We’ve found the most effective approach is building hybrid workflows that use AI to:
Automate research and list building (tools like Clay, People Data Labs)
Trigger intent-based sequences (via tools like 6sense, Breadcrumbs)
Personalize and test outbound at scale (using platforms like Smartlead, Instantly, and Regie.ai)
Analyze performance and adjust in near-real time (via RevOps overlays and dashboards)
Our teams treat AI SDRs more like intelligent co-pilots than replacements — taking over the heavy lifting so human reps can focus on multithreading, relationship building, and strategic follow-up. We’ve tested a variety of stacks (attached) and combinations across different GTM motions and are happy to share more specifics if helpful — feel free to DM me or drop a comment.
Thank you so much Natalia C. and Tim G.!
I'm lead GTM for one. AIsdr that work don't remplace SDRs, they don't all have the same approach. Ours it's set a radar for signals that reflect a buying signal and automate outreach based on these signals. We do have an external SDR that calls the top leads on top of it, and vertical AEs calling. This is an unpaid post by a customer (they didn't ask us or tell us ahead of sharing it) Hope this helps, Fady
