Has anyone ever tried to incentivize their employees to post on Linkedin to drive impressions for the company, to promote our updates? How have you done it, and what works?
Yeah for a previous company, we had a "$1000 per month amazon coupon for most active on company social media" thing.. Doesn't really work especially if there's no ICP overlap
What’s the end goal? Impressions are nice, but do you want leads? Do you want qualified intros? Do you want more product signups? etc. I always felt it was a forced exercise to get employees to post about your company. Sure, there are some valid times to do it, but it is usually a pretty cringe undertaking. Instead, why not recruit customers and advisors to talk positively about you? Generally, they have some economic interest in doing so already, and they probably have some genuine things to say about the company and product.
if these are sales people (?) and you need to incentivize them to help build the brand and drive business for themselves/the company via LI then they are not the right employees
Nicholas P. and crew at Blazel know it's tough to incentive this. Theyre helping supplement.
It is effective for employees to post on LinkedIn to drive impressions for the company. You don't want them posting or pitching about the company that will not help. You shouldn't ever force an employee to post about the company/pitch thats a lose lose situation for the brand and the employee. It is beneficial to make them into story tellers to build their brand which will end up leading to impression for the company if they're profiles are optimized with it. It is time-consuming if you want it to work. I'm happy to chat how we've approach this at Blazel - We can help supplement but also happy to just chat through strategies and how to convince your employees so its a win-win situation. You just need to educate them on it right. DM if you want to chat more
I agree with Nick about sales teams building brand and relationships on LinkedIn. I promote this on my page and partner with companies who want to implement modern selling strategies. Here's my LinkedIn to learn more, or from my posts. https://www.linkedin.com/in/hemcdaniel/
