RevGenius Community Updates: New Member Approval, Spam Controls, and Engagement Improvements
@channel - It was brought to my attention that the amount of spam/lead generation in RevGenius had increased. We have taken massive action to cut this out and foster a safe environment with incredible conversations. Some updates we have rolled out overall:
Created an approval process for ALL new members (no more auto-approvals) with more of a focus on leaders
Found and Removed bot accounts in mass from here
Put Nandini R. on Community full time to join Mike C. and team in moderating and engaging. Aligning resources to provide the most value possible.
Are monitoring for 2 core KPIs here (really 1 with a significant sub KPI): Good Engagement (not spamming channels or individuals and Removing people using RevGenius for lead generation.
Note: if you want to promote your startup we have channels for that 🔒[private feed] for questions and feedback Startup Pitches for straight pitches. Organizing 2-3 days of surveys a week (1-2 business related in General Discussion or related, 1 for fun in 🔒[private feed]) We are using the results from that to weave into our Saturday newsletter to 40k people to create more engaging and educational content. In addition to sparking lively discussions in Slack.
